All songs on "Nighttiming" were written, performed and sung by Jason Schwartzman.
"Nighttiming" was produced by Michael Einziger at his home studio in Malibu, California.
"Nighttiming" was mixed by Brendan O'Brien who produced and mixed records for Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, Bruce Spingsteen, Incubus and Matthew Sweet.
Coconut Records is Schwartzman’s first musical outing since leaving Phantom Planet in 2003. Jason Schwartzman wrote and drummed for the band Phantom Planet which he formed in 1994.
The first single from "Nighttiming", "West Coast" was used in the final episode of the show The O.C. - whose theme song, “California”, was penned by Schwartzman and Alex Greenwald.
